▸ Text me when you've dumped all your shit in your dorm k He didn't know if Gavin had got the text. To be honest, he probably hadn't even turned his phone on yet or taken it off airplane mode or whatever he did on the flight to this supernatural-ridden island. It was Gavin. He probably didn't know how to and would only get the text when he accidentally pressed the button to turn his phone on for five seconds. Dante had arrived in Belmont a few days ago and was already kind of bored, but hey, better be early for school than late for it. He had already settled into his dormitory and gained the wi-fi password and set up his gaming consoles. God knows he needed his gaming. He couldn't live without it. Well, he probably could, but he'd prefer not to. However, he was bored as fuck. So, here he was, hanging out in the great oak tree. Though, it was more... hanging out up in the tree. Dante had climbed his way up into the tree, made himself a place to chill out for a few hours, and was playing his way through some more Pokemon, while waiting for the dumb British twink lad to get his ass to Belmont, but that might even end up being tomorrow that he got here.

Unfortunately, the complex machine that happened to be his cellphone confused the everliving fuck out of one Gavin Freeman. He didn't take his phone off of airplane mode, he didn't even touch his phone since getting off the plane. Instead, it was nestled in his pocket, and after unceremoniously dumping his stuff off in his dorm, Gavin made his way to the courtyard. He didn't know if Dante had gotten off the plane, wasn't even aware that the other was somewhere in Belmont while Gavin was off doing who-knows-what. Well, he knew what he was doing, but the inner workings of Gavin seemed to be an enigma to others. Most others, at least. There was a familiar shape in the trees that Gavin was approaching, and he stopped to frown. "Dante?"dante lerose

"Come on just get it to the red don't kill it come on coME- NO YOU FUCK." And the latest route encounter had been knocked out. Great. It wasn't like he was playing a Nuzlocke or anything. It wasn't like he needed that Shinx. Not at all. It wasn't like it was going to come in handy against Winoa or Juan or the twins. God dammit. That was just bad luck and he wasn't happy. Until he heard the sound of his name from a very familiar voice. Scrambling to sit up and look down, Dante almost fell out of the tree in the process, but thankfully, he caught himself, steadying himself on the branch as he made a frantic wave at the boy down below. "GAAAAAAAAAVIIIIIIINNNN MY BOYYY." Grinning widely down at the Brit, Dante re-steadied himself on the tree. "I'd uh, come down but," he waved his 3DS around, being careful not to drop it, "Kinda immersed in Pokemon right now."

Of course he was playing pokemon. A wide grin broke across Gavin's face as he shrugged. It didn't matter. He could easily climb up into the branches with Dante. "I hope your pokemon is more important than me, then." A salute was given before he started nearing the tree. How does a person climb trees, though? He didn't know personally, it wasn't like he ever really had the chance to attempt it, but there was no better time than the present - that's what Gavin kept telling himself, at least. It didn't seem too hard, really. You just grab a hold of branches and pull yourself up, getting the necessary footholds as you go. So, that's what Gavin did. Or, tried to. He wasn't particularly strong, and after about three branches in, he lost his footing and doubled over on the branch that he was hoisting himself up on. It had occurred to Gavin at that moment that maybe he didn't think it through as well as he thought he did. dante lerose

Dante's grin only brightened at the one he received from Gavin. He shifted back into leaning against the tree trunk, returning his gaze to the screen to start moving his little guy around. "Totally more important. I just fucked up a battle though. I killed the Pokemon I wanted to catch." He said, running around in the grass for a few squares before finding himself in another battle. Might as well do a bit of training. However, his eyes were ripped from the screen when he heard some failing behind him. Twisting around and wrapping his legs around the branch he was sitting on, Dante looked down to see Gavin doubled over on a branch. Immediately, Dante started laughing, covering his mouth with one hand as he tried to stifle it - and failing. "You okay there, Gav? Need some help?"

Dante returned to his games, and that was when Gavin managed to get a branch shoved uncomfortably in his stomach. Frowning, he kicked his legs around a little, as if searching for the footing he had lost, and finding that he was completely without it. Of course. He was stuck, but he was not going to admit that - especially not to Dante of all people. Speaking of her favorite person in the world, Gavin felt his frown grow a little at the sound of laughter. Honestly, he wasn't surprised, simply because he was sure that if the roles were reversed, he'd be doing the same thing. "No. I- I can do this." Stubbornly, Gavin made sure that he had a firm grip on the branch he was currently sandwiched over before pushing his legs out behind him to find that branch he'd fallen off of. Surprisingly, he found that branch. Or, maybe it wasn't the same branch, considering he couldn't exactly remember having to stretch himself as far as he currently was to reach it. The branch he was holding on to was just above his head, and the one he was balancing on top of (on his toes, mind you) felt as though it should have been just out of reach. Honestly, Gavin just felt like a stretched sponge. dante lerose

After he asked the question, he had managed to completely stop laughing. Kind of. He had half tuned into the sound of critical health music coming from his 3DS, signalling that his Marshtomp was now in red health. Glancing back to the game, Dante took a moment to go to his bag and use a super potion on his starter Pokemon. Then, he looked back at Gavin, who had stubbornly said that he could do this. He frowned. "Gav, you don't have to be embarrassed about needing help." Dante was always happy to help out his friends. Right now, it looked like Gavin was really going to need help on where to put his feet and where to climb up to next, but he'd leave it until Gavin asked for help. Though it might've looked like Dante was back to focusing on his game, he was in fact watching Gavin out of the corner of his eye. God, he was stretched out like a cat doing its waking stretches (since, y'know, cats had weird sleeping patterns - well, didn't actually have a pattern). If Gavin went over to the trunk, he'd find it a lot easier to start climbing up. Plus, it was safer. Stronger branches. "You can do it Gavvyyy, I believe in you." He cooed, returning his attention to the screen. Gavin was probably starting to feel self-conscious, so he was going to not look at him. Unless he heard a noise of pain or something serious.

Being closer to the trunk was definitely the best option, but Gavin hadn't noticed that the branches were actually sturdier there. He instead stayed where he was, looking around to see if there was a closer branch that he could put his feet on. Fortunately, there was, and in the process of nearly slipping and landing into the splits, Gavin managed to perch himself up on a closer branch. He wasn't exactly self conscious, the praise from Dante making him grin a little she he somehow managed to push himself up a branch higher - a branch closer to being able to seat himself next to Dante. After a few moments of struggling and getting into other compromising positions, Gavin managed to get himself seated on a branch just under Dante. "So, Pokemon?" He was breathless, unsurprisingly, but he didn't let that stop him from keeping up a conversation with his boy. "Which one are you playing this time?"dante lerose
